Let’s normalize clapping for ourselves… in business, wellness, relationships and life in general! I think it should be normal to look in the mirror and say ‘dang girl, you look good!’ (and not feel “conceited about it”). I believe it should be normal to build something and say ‘dang, I did that. I’m so proud!’ (without feeling like you need to make yourself small). I want it to be normal to dream big dreams and say ‘I’m on my way!’ (without imposter syndrome).
It should be NORMAL to cheer ourselves on in all areas of life but since this is a business-ish blog, I’ll focus on that for now! 🙂
WHAT ARE YOU PROUD OF? CLAP FOR YOURSELF!
Many times, especially as females, we feel the need to “not be so loud, not showoff or flaunt our victories” for whatever reason… but I DON’T think “clapping for yourself” is the same as being self-centered or narcissistic! So let’s give ourselves some credit and CLAP.IT.UP! In private, surrounded by your family, in a journal or on social media… or where ever! But it’s time to normalize this stuff!
HERE’S WHAT I’M CURRENTLY CELEBRATING
- Creating our Free 5-Day Brand Challenge! Within the first few months of sharing this challenge, it has helped over one thousand people figure out their personal brands! I’m incredibly proud of the quality of the content, how quickly I put it together and how many people it’s been able to help!!!
- Launching our first round of our Website DIY Program: Launch Your Personal Brand! We recently welcomed our founding members and created the foundation for something I know will be bigger than what I can plan or imagine! My heart is so happy and I’m beaming with pride!
- I joined a 45-day clean eating/ fitness challenge and I gotta’ say, I’ve been killin’ it! This isn’t directly about business but I believe that taking care of our health and happiness, especially as entrepreneurs, is our most important job! I can’t wait for physical results at the end of six weeks but I’m mostly excited and proud of my dedication and focus with the challenge!
So tell me, what are YOU giving yourself credit for today? Let’s normalize clapping for ourselves. Xoxo, -M
